Exemplary illustrations of track guided KATE from Götting KG
The challenge
In order to save costs in the long term, the company had set itself the goal of fully automating its logistics processes and making them leaner and more efficient. Furthermore, the future expansion of processes as well as the extension of logistics areas was desired. This objective required a high degree of automation, the possibility of flexible process design and the development of the interaction of autonomous vehicles with their environment (warehouse, machines, lift, periphery).
Sector | Project start | Route network | Navigation |
Automotive | 2016 | 1.000 m | Optical |
AGV type | AGV weight | AGV quantity | Integrations |
KATE by Götting KG, optically track-guided | 50 kg payload | > 50 | Warehouse, machines, lift, periphery |
The solution approach
The company decided on fully automated production with KATE AGV from Götting KG, our shareholder and partner.
The customer process and the AGV systems were simulated with movizon CONTROL and optimised for AGV utilisation. During training courses at worldwide locations, employees received instruction from our movizon specialistsin the handling and scripting of software and hardware. s a result of the acquired knowledge, the employees at the various sites are free to adapt the software individually to the changing needs and requirements at any time.
movizon CONTROL in operation – The result
Through the utilisation of our ATS control system movizon CONTROL, it was possible to minimise manual interventions in the automated process and to enable data exchange between all systems.
- Economic success through leaner logistics processes
- Flexibility and expandability for extending logistics to other areas
- Scalable and manufacturer-neutral software enables implementation of further processes
- AGV, warehouse, machines and peripherals connected
The training of the employees has enabled the company to independently realise process and logistics procedures and to adapt the system to changing procedures.
